Photos: Dachau Concentration Camp, Germany

My pictures of Dachau Concentration camp. Sombre weather for a place of great tragedy.

What's left of the rail station used to bring prisoners to the camp.

A guard tower.

Where the prisoners would line up every day.

A chart showing what the different colours used
 to identify the prisoners were.

The original barracks were destroyed shortly after the war, right down to
the foundations. Two were rebuilt for the purpose of the museum to show
 what they looked like.

The entrance to the gas chamber.

The gas chamber.

Where they burned the bodies before disposing of the ashes in the creek.

Pope John Paul II gave a sermon from this structure.

A memorial.

Inside the rebuilt barracks.

Next stop: Munich night shots, including the Hofbrauhaus!
